Megan Fox got one step ahead of trolls by defending her risqué outfit before they had a chance to criticise her.
The Jennifer’s Body actor, 37, is no stranger to being judged by strangers on the internet because of her outfits and she seemingly anticipated the same outcome after wearing a see-through dress.
On Monday evening (24 July), Fox was snapped with MGK outside Japanese restaurant Nobu in Malibu wearing a sheer orange bodycon number.
The design features strategically placed horizontal stripes which she styled with silver choker necklaces.
The following day, the Transformers actor shared three snaps of herself in the same dress on Instagram.
“Before you start angrily typing – those are not my nipples, calm down,” the Transformers star wrote in the caption.
“They are safely and completely hidden under nipple covers so no worries, we will all live another day without a rip in the space-time continuum.”
The mum-of-three’s fans rushed to the comments to defend the star and to call out the trolling she’s often subjected to.
“People need to touch grᴀss at this point & stop worrying about someone else,” one fan declared. “Anyways you’re absolutely gorgeous and this outfit is [heart-eyes emoji].”
Another follower shared: “Surely telling a woman how to be empowered is the opposite of empowering?
“If you feel more empowered dressing modestly go for it, but there is a fine line between choosing to dress modestly and being forced to.“The less everyone shows their bodies, the more Sєxualized they are without that clothing. Normalizing nudity is definitely in our best interests overall.
“The more they see it, the less exciting it is. Bare breasts in tribal cultures aren’t viewed as Sєxual because they’re seen all day every day.”
A third Instagram follower penned: “I love you so much! It’s frustrating that you ALWAYS have to talk about how you dress. You’re beautiful as always.”
One fan, who called out society’s atтιтudes towards women showing their nipples, wrote: “Men show their nipples all the time, often with much bigger breasts, and no one burns their fingertips to comment.
“This leads me to believe that nipples are in fact, not scary.”Another woman wrote: “It’s unbelievable how men are obsessed with our nipples.”
Fox’s post comes after she was filmed at Orange County fair with her partner Machine Gun Kelly when she was shoved into a barricade.
The couple were stepping off a ride when a man took a swing at MGK, prompting their security guy to leap into action.
In the ensuing situation, the Fox ended getting shoved into the barricade next to the ride’s entrance.
Fortunately, her boyfriend was on hand to pull her out of the bust-up and they made a swift retreat.
