From committed relationships to flings. Megan Fox has dated several famous faces since stepping into the spotlight, and her love life has been a topic of much speculation, thanks to her on-again, off-again romance with Brian Austin Green.
The actress had a few relationships before she and the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum latched on to each other. When times got tough and the pair split, she found other partners too — including her Transformers costar Shia LaBeouf.
Fox opened up to Us Weekly in March 2018 about keeping the spark alive with Green. “The thing about [date nights] that’s so essential is you remember why you like the person that you had kids with,” she revealed at the time. “When you have so many people pulling at you and needing stuff, you kind of forget. You become like business partners and then you go on a date and you’re like, ‘Ugh! I’m attracted to you!’ So it’s important to do that. … I’m gonna try and do it more often.”
The Jennifer’s Body star and the actor share three sons — Noah, Bodhi and Journey — but he admitted in November 2019 that the two are not always on the same page when it comes to parenting. “I am a much stricter person,” he told Us exclusively in November 2019. “I’m a bit more OCD. To me, I would rather have no glitter at all in the house. To Megan, she doesn’t [mind], so that was an area where we bumped heads.”
He continued: “We both appreciate what she’s really good at and what she does well, and I appreciate what she does better than myself. I’m not only OK with that, I support that, and the same with her and getting to that place of not being defensive, or wanting to one-up the other person or be compeтιтive. Going, ‘You know what? We’re a much stronger force together than we are as one person, so why not be together on this?’”
Fox cemented herself as a Sєx symbol early in her career, long before her romances with Machine Gun Kelly, Green and LaBeouf. As such, she shared the secret to her appeal in her August 2014 cover story for Cosmopolitan. “Women don’t have to be desperate and try so hard,” she explained at the time. “Allow yourself to be strong and powerful and men will be crawling on their hands and knees.”
Ben Leahy
Leahy was the Transformers star’s high school sweetheart from 2000 to 2003. “He was very sweet and wonderful, really tall and big with a perfect body, and he was a badᴀss,” she told Rolling Stone in 2009. “I was totally drawn to him.”
David Gallagher
Fox dated the 7th Heaven alum from 2003 to 2004.
Nikita
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actress revealed in her October 2008 GQ cover story that she struck up a romance with a woman in L.A. when she was 18. “Well, that year my boyfriend broke up with me, and I decided — oh man, sorry, Mommy! — that I was in love with this girl that worked at the Body Shop,” she said. “I decided that I was going to get her to love me back, and I went out of my way to create a relationship with this girl, a stripper named Nikita.”
Brian Austin Green
Fox and Green began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of Hope & Faith. The duo got engaged in November 2006 but called it quits in February 2009. After getting back together, they tied the knot in June 2010. The couple welcomed son Noah in September 2012, son Bodhi in February 2014 and son Journey in August 2016.
Us broke the news in August 2015 that the Holiday in the Sun actress separated from the Anger Management alum; days later she filed for divorce. However, once she became pregnant with their third child, they were officially back on. She requested to dismiss their divorce case in April 2019.
After they were seen without their wedding rings, Green announced his split from Fox in May 2020. He clarified on his “…With Brian Austin Green” podcast that since the end of 2019, they had “really been trying to sort of be apart.”
Shia LaBeouf
After years of rumors, the New Girl alum finally confirmed in November 2018 that she had a “romantic” relationship with LaBeouf on the set of Transformers. “I love him,” she explained during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I’ve never been really private about that. I love him.”
Machine Gun Kelly
Amid her separation from Green, Fox was spotted with her Midnight in the Switchgrᴀss costar in May 2020. Though the BH90210 alum claimed the twosome were platonic pals, a source told Us at the time that they “started off as friends and their relationship grew from there. Megan thinks MGK is a really cool guy and their relationship turned more romantic.” The insider added that they had “definitely hooked up.” The following month, Us confirmed the pair were an item.
The “Emo Girl” singer and the New Girl alum got engaged in January 2022 after dating for nearly two years. However, rumors began to swirl that MGK and the actress called it quits after Fox deleted pH๏τos of the pair from her Instagram page in February 2023, adding a series of pics with a caption from Beyoncé’s infamous Lemonade album. The following month, a source told Us that the couple were “currently on a break” and halting wedding plans, but remained in contact with one another.
