Nitara is described by Fox as both “evil but also good,” a complex character who is “trying to save her people.” Fox expressed her enjoyment in bringing her talents to Mortal Kombat 1, acknowledging that the iconic game had been a staple in her gaming experience and is considered one of the greatest video games of all time.
In a video showcasing Nitara in action, fans can see Fox’s portrayal of the blood-thirsty fighter. The inclusion of Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1 was kept secret until now, with the character’s reveal coming shortly after leaked images of the game’s full roster began circulating on the internet.
While most of the leaked characters had already been announced by NetherRealm, Nitara’s inclusion remained a surprise. The timing of Fox’s character reveal may not have been coincidental, as it seems NetherRealm wanted to take control of the situation and put an end to the speculation on their own terms.
Alongside Nitara, other characters confirmed to be returning in Mortal Kombat 1 include Sindel and General Shao, as showcased in a hair-raising trailer released earlier.
