Fans of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 are now convinced that the old Travis Scott leak is true thanks to the recent reveal of Megan Fox as Nitara for MK1.

Mortal Kombat 1 has an incredible roster awaiting fans. Some players were initially angry about the Nitara redesign, but, following the full Megan Fox reveal, the overall consensus is more positive than negative. And, if you love your celebrity fix, you’ll be pleased to know that Megan Fox is not the only celebrity in Mortal Kombat 1 as there’s also John Cena and others as a DLC. And, if previous leaks are true, she will be joined by rapper Travis Scott.

Mortal Kombat 1 Travis Scott leak
Travis Scott was leaked for Mortal Kombat 1 at the same time as Megan Fox.

The leak originated from former IGN journalist and Sacred Symbols podcast host, Colin Moriarty. In the Sacred Symbols podcast, Moriarty said he was told Megan Fox and Travis Scott are in MK1.

He didn’t identify his source, but he claimed it was an individual who told him about Jean Claude Van Damme’s involvement before NetherRealm’s reveal. Unlike Megan Fox who is the face model and voice actor for Nitara, Jean Claude Van Damme is just a luxury skin for Johnny Cage if you pre-order the Premium edition.

It’s not guaranteed that Travis Scott is in MK1 as NetherRealm hasn’t officially revealed any involvement with the hit artist. However, some fans fear the leak is true because of Megan Fox’s recent confirmation.

Mortal Kombat 1 react to Travis Scott leak
Over on Reddit, fans have reacted to the belief that the Travis Scott leak is true following the confirmation of Megan Fox.

Discussing the prospect of who Travis Scott could be playing, one Mortal Kombat 1 simply posted ‘Nobody, I hope’. Another user echoed this sentiment posting ‘Hopefully no one, just some NPC’.

Back when the rumor first originated, fans were already fearing the worst. One user echoed the famous The Office meme, ‘Please, god no’, and another user said they ‘Really, really hate when celebrities and games collab’.

Who could Travis Scott be playing in MK1?
Away from fearing Travis Scott’s involvement, fans are also puzzled as to which character he could be playing.

The most popular theories right now on Reddit are Kai, as well as Art Lean from the Mortal Kombat movie. Some fans believe he may just be an optional skin similar to Jean Claude Van Damme for Johnny Cage.

Over on Gamefaqs, fans are hoping that he will bring back Kai as he was last properly seen in Mortal Kombat Unchained. However, judging by Gamefaqs, fans don’t want him to portray Jax as ‘he looks too skinny’.

Of course, it’s possible he might not be a playable character at all. If he is involved with MK1, he might just be releasing a song or be involved with a trailer.

Away from Travis Scott, fans are hoping that another prominent celebrity will have some involvement in the game. Former WWE wrestler and Guardians of the Galaxy star, Dave Bautista, is a huge fan of Mortal Kombat, and he stars in the MK1 live-action trailer.

Over Reddit, fans are hoping Bautista could be a secret character as Onaga. Again, Bautista’s only official involvement with the game is a live-action trailer, but fans are hoping nonetheless.

The release date for Mortal Kombat 1 is September 19th for PlayStation, PC, and Xbox. You can get early access from September 14th provided you pre-order the right edition.

Although it is releasing on multiple platforms, the unfortunate news is that there is no crossplay at launch.
